Welcome to The Lit Club

Do you like TV shows? Do you like movies? Do you like books?

If you answered yes to any of those, wonderful! I just have one final question for you: do you like representation for queer women in any of those medias? Yes? Then I have great news for you. You've come to the perfect spot!

I've told many people throughout the years that I only consume queer media, it's not necessarily by choice. It's mostly out of spite. In media, it's shoved down your face how relationships should be depicted (do NOT get me started on how toxic those relationships can be). Man meets woman, man loves woman, man tries to win over woman, woman eventually loves man, the end. Very fun, very unique, very repetitive. I've spent the last few years of my life consuming only media with queer women represented. It saves a lot of time with friends and family, too. "Have you seen *blank*?" "Is there a women-loving-women relationship?" "No" "Then no".

I love love. I think it is wonderful and beautiful and nice. I love straight relationships, I love queer men relationships, but I am a lesbian. So, I truly love queer women relationships. And finding good representation (good is the key word there) of women-loving-women relationships is hard.

That is what leads me to here. Finding the perfect TV show to watch or movie to watch or book to read that represents you is hard as a queer woman. There is so much cheating and lying and secrets and just gross things that happen that I absolutely hate in so much media with queer women representation. It's, to be perfectly frank, disgusting.

I can confidently say I have consumed a large portion of queer women relationships represented in media which is why I am giving myself this job. To help those who may need some guidance to find the perfect happily ever after queer women story for them.
